The Sew It! 8-Week Beginner to Pro Course at Dreammaker Design Studio is the ultimate introduction for students ages 8–17 who want to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop lifelong sewing skills. Whether they’re brand new to sewing or looking to refine their skills, this course offers the perfect blend of fun and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Learn:
Sewing machine basics: threading, stitching, and safety
How to read and use pattern guides
Project planning and fabric-cutting techniques
Hands-on experience with the Ditto pattern projector
Complete projects tailored to skill level—from simple crafts to more advanced designs
Course Details:
The Sew It! – 8-Week Beginner to Pro Course runs once a week, with flexible scheduling options on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Small class sizes, limited to 12 students per session, ensure personalized attention and one-on-one guidance from our expert instructor. The course is open to students ages 8–17 and is priced at $400.00, which includes basic fabric and sewing essentials. Some projects, especially at the Intermediate and Advanced levels, may require specialty fabrics or additional supplies, which will be communicated in advance.
All students begin with our required Sew It! – Basics & Safety course, held twice a month on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This essential introduction covers sewing machine safety, threading, and guides students through their first beginner-friendly project, giving them the confidence to move forward in the 8-week program.
